Sweet,  heartwarming,  and romantic are just a few words to explain You Say It First.

I have been a Susan Mallery fan for years.  I've read just about every book she has written and You Say It First is definitely among my favorite books by her.

Her books are always so sweet and filled with awesome characters.  I was excited to get my hands on this one,  and I devoured it.

About the Book

The #1 New York Times bestselling author of the Fool's Gold romances invites you to visit Happily Inc, a wedding destination founded on a fairy tale...
Sculptor Nick Mitchell grew up in a family of artists and learned from his volatile father that passion only leads to pain. As he waits on a new commission, he takes a day job as a humble carpenter at a theme wedding venue. The job has its perks--mainly the venue's captivating owner, Pallas Saunders. Although he won't let love consume him, for ecstasy with an expiration date, he's all in.
Pallas adores Weddings in a Box. But if she can’t turn the floundering business around, she’ll have no choice but to cave to her domineering mother and trade taffeta for trust funds working at the family’s bank. Then when a desperate bride begs Pallas for something completely out of the box, her irresistible new hire inspires her. Nick knows she doesn't belong behind a desk, and she knows in her heart that he's right—where she really belongs is in his arms.

Gwen Mitchell
Publication date: June 21st 2017
Genres: New Adult, Romance, Urban Fantasy

Audrey Taylor has carved a living out of society’s fringes using her supernatural abilities and street smarts. Freedom—sleeping beneath the open skies and under the radar—is all she’s ever needed. But when an ancient council of witches discovers her powers, Audrey must submit to their training or be stripped of her gifts and her memory. Audrey knows better than to trust anyone, and she’s never worked well with others, so it’s just her luck to be assigned a withdrawn and irritable falconer as her mentor. Even more disturbing is her desire to tear through his brooding faΓ§ade and bare the man beneath when she should be focused on escape.
Corvin Wright values the solace of his duties and only finds peace among the birds entrusted to his keeping. But the council no longer sees a use for his unique gifts, and his sanctuary is in danger unless he can earn his place by babysitting a fledgling witch. The task becomes daunting when his apprentice turns out to be wilder and more broken than any creature he’s ever cared for. Her fiery spirit and dangerous beauty challenge every ideal of the life he’s built. As Audrey wrestles with her captivity and the bonds of responsibility laid upon her, Corvin must find a way to tame her wild heart before she breaks his.

Review

To Tame A Wild Heart follows the story of Audrey Taylor who has had quiet a hard life.Whenever she lands in trouble, she uses her powers to fend for herself. The book begins with her trying to break out of the asylum. But just as she's out, she's captured again, only to trade one prison for the other(according to her). The council disapproves of witches who misuse their powers. And since Audrey doesn't use her powers in a way that they approve of, she's temporarily stripped of them.

She's given a chance to have them back, if she'll train well and learn control and responsibility.
And her mentor is none other than the broody Corvin.
Due to Audrey's upbringing, she's very way of trusting people. and also apprehensive of rules and anything that cages her freedom.
Though these two seem like opposites, they come together in a beautiful way! They manage to be just what the other needed, and the chemistry between them was done well! They fit together like two puzzle pieces.
The book also has and added sprinkling of mystery with sub plots and amazing secondary characters!I'm glad to discover a new author to love and can't wait to read more in this series!Till then, Ill be reading the author's other work Rain and Ash! :D
